Currency Croatia

The currency of Croatia is the Kuna, with one Kuna equalling 100 Lipa. Notes come in denominations of K1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5, with coins coming in denominations of K25, 5, 2 and 1, and 50, 20, 10, 5, 4, 2 and 1 Lipa.

Bureau de changes are available across the country, and money can be exchanged in banks, at post offices and by authorised dealers. Traveller’s cheques are accepted, though to avoid additional conversion charges these should be in either US Dollars, Pounds Sterling or Euros.

ATMs are widespread through Croatia and a number of credit cards are accepted see:

The import and export of domestic currency is limited to K15,000, with notes of K500 or less, whereas the import and export of foreign currency is unlimited.
